'Theosophical lecture', Bexhill Observer, 24 March 1928

Bexhill Observer, 24 March 1928. A short item set between rules, reporting that "Imagination, Intellect, and Intuition" was the subject of a lecture given by Major C. F. Galloway, BSc, on the previous Friday evening at the Theosophical Lecture Room, 40 Wickham Avenue, Bexhill. No speaker's fee, attendance or discussion is recorded and there is no byline. The note is evidence that the Theosophical Society kept a room of its own in the town in the 1920s. The ninth Earl De La Warr, whose family gave the town the De La Warr Pavilion, had been brought up as a Theosophist by his mother, Muriel Brassey. Bexhill Museum item 022.
