A UPI photograph of Alex Sanders and Maxine Morris, 'the king and queen of England's 30,000 witches', appearing to brew up a spell: Alex holds a wand over a small cup in Maxine's hands. The caption notes Sanders is technical adviser on the witchcraft rituals in the film 13, and that the couple had recently married in the first witchcraft wedding in England in 200 years. The photograph was taken by UPI at Claridge's in London in January 1966, when Alex and Maxine Sanders were technical advisers on the MGM film Eye of the Devil, released in the United States as 13. The archive holds other photographs from the same visit. The same photograph ran in The Record of Hackensack the next day and in the Knoxville News-Sentinel in April.
