WIZARD PIECE OF WORK
Clean sweep and no broom
A house where witchcraft was practised has vanished. A demolition order in place of a magic wand was waved over it in Nimmo Avenue, Perth, and a squad of workmen completed the “disappearing trick.”
The house, a prefab, had stood empty since March when it was vacated by Mrs Monique Wilson, regarded as the “Queen of Scotland’s witches.” With her husband and eight-year-old daughter, she moved to the Isle of Man after being named chief beneficiary in the £25,000 will of Dr Gerald Gardner, who claimed to be leader of Britain’s witches.
Yesterday, a corporation spokesman said the prefab, like other similar houses, had been demolished as part of a… redevelopment scheme.
