The Mysterious Cobbler, dust jacket, 1935

Book jacket, 1935. The wrapper of The Mysterious Cobbler, published by the Francis Mott Company at three shillings and sixpence, laid out flat. The front board shows a cobbler at his bench with a large pale face and outstretched hands rising behind him. The front flap says that interest in the cobbler had been awakened by the part serialisation of his story in the Sunday Dispatch, and describes how the typist of the manuscript took her paralysed aunt to see him. The back board is headed "Miracle in Sussex" and states that on the day the book went to press a woman was healed of paralysis at Bexhill-on-Sea.
