Bexhill Observer, 21 May 1955. A single column advertisement placed by the Sunday Pictorial and headed 'Black Magic in Britain'. The text sits inside the drawn outline of a horned head with slanted eyes. It offers the most searching investigation into evil ever made by a newspaper, says that the Sunday Pictorial is at last able to report on a five months' probe into the secrets of Devil worshippers in Britain, and states that the dossier, printed as a warning to all who are tempted, includes the confessions of a witch. Readers are told they can make certain of a copy only by ordering it in advance.
