Bexhill Observer, 25 February 1967. Report of a meeting of the Down Afternoon Townswomen's Guild at the Sports Centre, at which Mrs M. Fyfield of Eastbourne returned as guest speaker. Her subject was 'Witchcraft, not to be confused with black magic', and she gave possible origins of superstitions in what the paper calls a lively and amusing talk. Answering a question, she said that witchcraft was on the upsurge and cited a nearby town where there was proved to be a coven, adding that where they met and the identities of those taking part were a well kept secret.
