Photograph, 2 July 1974. The altar in the temple at Chantry Cottage, a carved oak chest set in the brick fireplace with cut logs stacked in the hearth behind it. Two tall candlesticks with lit candles stand at either end. Between them are glass vases of dahlias, roses and ears of wheat, a small figure of a robed woman holding a child within a gilt frame, a dish of incense, a shallow bowl and a plate, a knife, and pieces of bread lying on the wood. A wand and a scourge with plaited thongs rest across the front edge. A little bell hangs from an iron hook on the brickwork at the left, and the rim of the cauldron shows at the lower right.
