'Santa "witch" sacked', Bexhill Observer, 17 December 1976

Bexhill Observer, 17 December 1976. Report that Noel Armstrong, described as a self-confessed white witch and president and controller of the World Institute of Occult Sciences, had been dismissed from a job as Father Christmas at a London department store after his interests became known. The paper says he had moved to Bexhill about eighteen months earlier, had rented a small shop in the town for palm reading, and had organised a one-day occult convention at the Manor Barn the previous year at which neither the advertised speakers nor an audience appeared.
