About this item
Photograph, c.1975. Colour view of the bar at the De La Warr Pavilion: a curved timber counter with a lattice screen above, red carpet, pale walls, globe pendant lights and rows of light wooden chairs and small tables running back to glazed partition doors. The museum lists it as 'De La Warr Pavilion bar c.1975. Where the coven met'. The Pavilion became the group's meeting place in the 1980s, after the Bell Hotel ceased to be Sanders' local; the 1985 reports, items 165 to 179, are set here. The museum holds one of the chairs.
Bexhill Museum item 162. Bexhill Museum collection.
Shown in UNSEEN: The Alex Sanders Archive at Bexhill Museum, Part Three, The Vacant Throne (6 September 2026), presented by Julian Porter of Bexhill Museum and hosted by Sharon Day for Alexandrian Witchcraft.
