About this item

Photograph, 7 March 1985. Photographic print of a young man in a pale robe, in profile, examining a dagger at a small table set as an altar: a large pentagram painted on the sloping wall behind, a hanging censer, a black candle, two goblets, a dish, a small box and copies of the Bexhill Observer including the 'A curse on you!' front page, item 165. Taken by Jimmy Burke at the ceremony reported on 7 March 1985, item 167, and printed with the caption '"Kevin" in the attic room which was once owned by Alex Sanders'. The museum lists the print as 'Kevin'. The same edition's front page, item 166, quotes Kevin Carlyon of Hastings, but this caption gives no surname. Byline: Jimmy Burke. Bexhill Museum item 170. Print from the Bexhill Observer photographic archive at Bexhill Museum. Shown in UNSEEN: The Alex Sanders Archive at Bexhill Museum, Part Three, The Vacant Throne (6 September 2026), presented by Julian Porter of Bexhill Museum and hosted by Sharon Day for Alexandrian Witchcraft.
