The Bookseller, Saturday 5 July 1969, page 31. The publisher Peter Davies announces June Johns's biography King of the Witches: The World of Alex Sanders to the book trade, three months ahead of publication, at 35 shillings. The copy calls Sanders 'a professional white witch', head of 107 covens 'and probably the most powerful witch in Europe', and promises an account of 'his battle with the forces of evil and his practice of amazing powers of clairvoyance and healing'. Printed with the book's jacket, a pair of hands holding a small doll-like figure against black. The book was published on 28 October 1969.
