'King of the Witches' visits Bexhill coven, Bexhill Observer, 29 September 1973

Bexhill Observer, 29 September 1973. Article reporting that Alex Sanders had been visiting members of a Bexhill coven at the Bell Hotel in the Old Town, with a photograph of him at the hotel. He talked to the paper with two members of the coven and his nineteen year old apprentice present. He gave an account of his background, telling the paper that his grandmother put him through a ceremony when he was seven, that he later worked as a spiritualist healer, and that a friend who had supported him had died five weeks earlier and left him several million pounds. He warned readers against attempting published rituals without a teacher: 'Leave it alone unless you find a good teacher.' Bexhill Museum item 050.
