About this item
Photograph, 2 July 1974. Three figures close together on the floor of the temple. A man in a dark velvet robe speaks, his head turned down and his mouth open, while a young man in a white robe and wire spectacles holds a hand microphone up towards him, its lead trailing away. A young woman in a pale robe leans in behind them, and the heads of two other members of the coven fill the lower corners. The rim of the cauldron is at the left edge. The museum lists the print as 'Alex being recorded'. The cards say that one of the witches, near enough to hear, took notes of what was being said.
Bexhill Museum item 081. Print from the Bexhill Observer photographic archive at Bexhill Museum.
Shown in UNSEEN: The Alex Sanders Archive at Bexhill Museum, Part One, The Town That Was Already Listening (9 August 2026), presented by Julian Porter of Bexhill Museum and hosted by Sharon Day for Alexandrian Witchcraft.
