Photograph, 23 April 1975. Portrait of Alex Sanders in a dark robe, wearing the metal pentacle crown, rings and a bracelet, looking towards the camera with a hand raised to his chin. One of the Bexhill Observer prints from the evening of the ceremony reported on 26 April 1975, numbered 18 on the museum's list. It was published in that report with the caption 'Pictured below is Alex Sanders, king of the witches'. The paper described him as robed in 'a short gown' for the ceremony, after the coven had returned in 'richly colourful robes and jewellery'. Byline: Jimmy Burke. Bexhill Museum item 107.
