Bexhill Observer internal memo on the Daily Mail story, 14 October 1976

Typed internal memorandum on Bexhill Observer memo paper, dated 14 October 1976, signed with the nickname 'Deppity Dawg' and addressed to 'Keith L'. It notes that Sarah Hicks was trying to obtain a comment from Alex Sanders as a follow-up to the enclosed Daily Mail cutting (item 124), that a picture of Sanders had been looked out, and that the story would need careful handling because it followed a libel action. A second paragraph, struck through, concerns an unrelated entertainments page. A handwritten reply is added at the foot. No follow-up story has been found in the paper.
