The society's public relations officer, Mrs Shirley Owens, said there had been no mishaps and that the cast's reaction had been 'total disbelief' and then 'total hilarity'. The paper recaps that the curse was placed by Alex Sanders after his wife Gillian walked out as musical director, that members of 'the witches organisation, Wicca' lifted it because they felt Sanders was giving them a bad name, and adds that 'one of the witches was working in collusion with Sanders', leaving it unclear whether the curse had been lifted.
