[Original scan: MoW 6657] Transcription of: MoW, CF44; Doc no_ 6657.pdf --- 16th June. 6.7.8.9.10 Owen Scale For manhood. — Israeli war. [In orange margin: Bob Wilson] ISRAELI WAR. 6.7.10.1. Perfect love. Philip remorse. So silly. Bob Wilson. I stand upon Mt. Sinai, look over to the river Jordan. They are amassing troops — Please tell him not to grieve for me, sir. She wore a rose for me, she made the man put up a Union Jack. Tell him, sir, please, I love [illegible] to grieve. Alex said that he did not love anyone, when I told him Bob Wilson's message, but that he loved Bob Wilson for his purity, and for his journey into the next world, which he, Alex, had not done. Notes: Numeric codes: The writer opens with number sequences (6.7.8.9.10 and 6.7.10.1) tied to phrases like Owen scale for manhood" and "Perfect love." Their intended meaning is not stated in the text and has not been identified with confidence. "Owen Scale" likely references a real historical concept: Robert Owen (1771–1858), founder of the New Harmony colony (1825), is credited in psychological literature with inventing an early documented rating scale. Whether Alex intended this specific historical reference, or used "Owen Scale" more loosely, is not clear from the text itself. Biblical geography: The writer describes standing "upon Mt. Sinai" looking toward "the river Jordan," where troops are described as amassing — real, identifiable places referenced directly in the text. A message about grief: The core of the passage is a request not to grieve, accompanied by symbolic gestures (a rose, a Union Jack) described in the document itself. Bob Wilson's purity: Alex is recorded as saying he loved Bob Wilson "for his purity, and for his journey into the next world, which he, Alex, had not done" — stated directly in the text. Authorship note: This document mixes the diarist's own words with Alex speaking/channelling directly. It's not always clear which parts count as 'written by' the diarist versus 'said by' Alex.
