2424 July 22nd 1983 Lynda Boutet, 73E Talbot Road, London W2. Dearest Alex, Sorry to write to you asking for help but it really is very important.... I am 6 months pregnant with a baby due on November 5th - I'm very happy about this and so is Jacky - I'm generally healthy but for the past month my blood pressure has gone up and up. At the beginning of the pregnancy it measured 120 over 80 but now it has risen to 130 over 95. I have what's known as "Toxemia" or pre-eclampsia. I have already been in hospital because of this, but there is nothing the doctors can do. If it stays high, it may mean that the baby will not grow, and the doctor has told me that they couldn't induce him for at least 6 weeks. I am seeing the doctors at St Mary's, Praed Street, every week, and they've told me to stay at home in bed. Hopefully, everything will be okay, but if you could help me in any way at all regarding my BP, everything would be wonderful, Alex - I include a photo of myself taken about 1 year ago.
