46 Willowfield Road, Heysham, Lancs, Tuesday 17th October Dear Alex, Just a few hurried words to say that I am leaving for the south today and shall be at my mother's (Tunbridge address) for the rest of the week and possibly beyond. I do hope to get in touch with you successfully and arrange a meeting whenever we can. I hope this will be convenient with you. I have tried to phone a couple of times, and you have been in my thoughts a great deal. I look forward to spending some time with you. Yours, Michael x Authorship note: Straightforward single-author letter, signed "Michael." No diarist framing or mixed voice present.
