About this item
Photograph, 2 July 1974. A tall young man with long hair stands barefoot in the middle of the temple in a black robe with white facings and a knotted white cord at the waist, holding a broad bladed sword level in both hands. Betty Britton stoops beside him in a shining robe, reaching towards the blade. A young woman in a white robe sits against the wall at the right, a dagger on the bricks beside her, and other members of the coven are seated in the foreground. The altar stands in the fireplace behind, candles lit among the flowers. The museum lists the print as 'John with sword'.
