Bexhill Observer, 28 January 1988. Short item on Kevin and Ingrid Carlyon, 'two self-proclaimed white witches', both in their twenties, who had produced a booklet on Wicca, 'The Old Religion, the New Ideas', and wanted to start a group for anyone interested in UFOs, ley lines, ghosts, telepathy or 'white or beneficial witchcraft'. Readers were invited to write to 95b Marina, St Leonards. The paper notes that Kevin Carlyon had recently attracted media attention when a vicar objected to him performing rites on the Long Man of Wilmington, and quotes him as saying interest in witchcraft was strong in the Bexhill area.
