'Ellie, 17, goes on worldwide ghost-hunting adventure', Bexhill Observer, 2 July 1999

Bexhill Observer, 2 July 1999. Report, with a photograph, that a seventeen year old Bexhill girl was leaving that week on a world trip with the Hastings white witch Kevin Carlyon. She was one of around 800 people who telephoned after an appeal in the paper, and was invited to join a team investigating supposedly haunted sites in countries including America, Canada and Russia for a television series. She told the paper she was interested in the paranormal but was not a white witch, and that 'It beats working as a waitress or something like that!' Carlyon said the response to the advertisement had been overwhelming. Her mother had met him and was happy for her to go, and she planned to take an art foundation course on her return.
